Each School Explained

Puertita

Puertita is focused on giving expats and nomads a home in Paraguay. We understand that when arriving to Asunción, it's easy to feel lost. It can be hard to find friends. That's why our school is focused on building a community and providing students a home away from home, not just education.

Puertita prioritizes group classes, because going to school in a group classes is a great way to make friends. We make sure all students in group classes have the same skill level, ensuring no student will feel left behind, or slowed down. Group classes have a maximum of 4 students in each class

All classes start at the same time (9am) at our school in Villa Morra. This brings everyone together at the same time, creating a community. 4 hours of class daily, with a 20 minute break, Monday through Friday.

Puertita also provides 5 cultural and social activities weekly.

Pangea

Pangea focuses on their 100 hour curriculum, which is great for beginners. They also offer English classes. Pangea focuses on private classes, and offers private group classes, where students can choose to enroll with somebody on their skill level. This way, Pangea ensures that you won't get mixed with students of different levels.

Classes can be taken at their office, or they can meet you at another location. Classes can be anytime from 7am to 7pm.

Hispana

Hispana is one of the oldest Spanish schools in Asunción. They offer group, private, and online classes. Group classes are taken at their location just outside of the center of Asunción. Students can take affordable buses from Villa Morra. The earliest classes start at 8am.

Idipar

Idipar is a 30 minute walk from Villa Morra, in the Los Laurales neighborhood of Asunción. That being said, students can choose to take classes in their home, or in local coffee shops. Idipar offers homestays with Paraguayan families.

Idipar also offers classes in Guarani, the native language of Paraguay.

Which School to Choose

If you want to optimize for feeling at home in Paraguay and making friends in group classes, we recommend Puertita.

If you'd rather take private classes on a flexible schedule, Pangea may be a better fit.

If affordability is your priority, the group classes at Hispana are fairly priced.
